This website is part of The Health Rights Project, a legal literacy initiative that seeks to compile, simplify and improve access to health-related laws in India. 

We do not require account registration and do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number.

This Privacy Statement explains what data is automatically collected when you access this website, why it is collected, and how long it is retained. 

1. What data gets collected?  

When you visit this website, our web server automatically records standard access logs, which may include: your IP address; date and time of your request; the webpage or URL requested; the HTTP response status code; the browser's User-Agent string, from which browser, operating system and device characteristics may be inferred; the referral URL (where available); the HTTP protocol version and response size (in bytes). 

2. Why do we collect this data?  

We process this information only for legitimate operational, security and administrative purposes, including:

• maintaining the security and integrity of the website and server infrastructure;
• detecting, preventing and investigating unauthorised access, misuse and cybersecurity incidents;
• website administration and maintenance;
• diagnosing technical problems and troubleshooting errors;
• monitoring website performance and reliability; and
• complying with applicable legal obligations, where required.

We retain IP addresses only as part of server access logs for these security and operational purposes. We do not use IP addresses to identify or profile individual visitors.

This website does not use analytics services or analytics cookies. We do not use server logs to analyse individual browsing behaviour, and we do not sell or share server access logs with advertisers, commercial analytics providers or external data brokers.

3. How long is the data stored for? 

Server access logs are retained for a maximum period of 180 days for security and operational purposes. At the end of this retention period, the logs are automatically deleted through the server's log management processes. 

Access to server logs is restricted to authorised personnel responsible for maintaining the website and its security.
