Does the provision on a safe working environment apply to all workplaces?
It does not apply to all workplaces. The assurance of safe working environment, like providing safety equipment, training, and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), primarily applies to:
- Healthcare workplaces (hospitals, clinics, laboratories, blood banks, etc.) with 20 or more people, and
- Other workplaces (offices, factories, etc.) with 100 or more people, but only if there is a significant risk of HIV exposure as part of the work.
