Are there protections for women against being made to disclose their HIV status to their partner?

Yes. A doctor or counsellor cannot notify a woman's partner if there is a reasonable risk that this could lead to violence, abandonment, or serious harm to the woman, her children, her relatives, or anyone close to her. Similarly, the general duty to prevent transmission does not apply to women in such situations.
